I semi-finished this fairy in July.
It was a very labour intensive piece.
I have found that if one works a very long time, like two weeks non stop on a piece, the piece becomes angst ridden.
Things become big that are not.
And then I got gatvol working on it.
So even the smallest increment to finish became a mission.
And the poor thing lay for four months in a cold, dark and dry safe, crying little fairy tears, because she wanted to be in the daylight, and in the window
So eventually my guilt over-powered my lethargy, and today I finished her.
Just some touch up on her face, and a light polish and cleanup.
Sorry Miss Fairy, but sometimes an hour’s work takes four months to get around to.
I’m sure I would be the worlds best procrastinator — if I ever got around to it.

Hans,
She’s beautiful and the fairy tears are gone!! I love plique-a-jour and she’s a delight. Thanks for sharing.
